The increase of FDIC to $250,000 is actually through December 31, 2009.

Exactly – if you have over $250k in a bank account, chances are you’re paying someone to worry about stuff like this anyway. There are plenty of more important things in the world of money to worry about. You’ll get more money in the event of a failure, even if it takes just a bit.
