You Can’t Win Ebay Powerseller Status

I get spam all the time and you can usually spot the fakes - winning Irish sweepstakes, a royal emissary from some fictional African nation, or a UK lottery you never entered. Today, I saw a little different twist to the “security violation - sign it to verify your account information” for the Bank of America/Paypal/Ebay/Amazon and this one involved winning Ebay Power Seller Status. It’s a scam. Most people realize it’s a scam but for the select few who happen to reach this page via a search engine - be aware that it is a scam. You cannot win Ebay Power Seller Status.

This has been a public service announcement.
