I downloaded it Sunday night. I am still figuring it out, but I think I really like it.

My hardest thing to sticking to my budget is when I go shopping at Walmart or Target and buy things from 3 of my categories like clothing, grocery, medicines. I have a hard time getting motivated to separate everything out.

I pointed my (future) in-laws to it, and so far they’re liking it. So, I’d like to enter on their behalf. The most trouble they have is keeping track of where their money goes, having multiple people using debit cards on the account, and not keeping track of what bills are left or how much is left in the account.

I’m using YNAB right now and it’s great. I went from a simple Excel spreadsheet and YNAB is much more useful to me. The trick is to stick with their four pillars and use the program. I think the hardest part for me is tracking my spending but what I do is take my receipts and just sit them at the computer. When I use the computer I just fire up YNAB and put whatever is in the pile in to the program. It is helpful for me to do this several times a week so I don’t forget or double-enter anything.

I really encourage anyone who needs a little help budgeting to try this and enter the giveaway. YNAB is worth the price, and so much better if you get it free!
